I have been using these to reinforce the teaching of letter sounds to my 3 year old. I’ve created a “sound walk” of just the letters she’s learned so far, which is left out in the playroom all the time for her to practise walking along and saying the letter sounds whenever she fancies. It’s been an absolutely brilliant and painless way of reinforcing her letter sound knowledge. I hesitated in buying these because I’m not a fan of foam (health or environment wise) and I feared they’d be bulky to store and generally get in the way: I’m so glad I did get them, though, as they’ve been a brilliant learning tool. I also love that they’re in a Sassoon font, eg with a closed k and curls at the bottom of letters such as j, l and i - I wouldn’t have bought the product otherwise as I want her to learn the letter formation that she’ll be taught to write in at school. Well done, ELC - a brilliant product for early years learning!

I was very excited to purchase this for my 3 year old son as he loves a number one we already have. On opening the clear, zip locked box, I noted that some of the tiles had dents in them and what appeared to be pen marks on their reverse side. I also noted that an interlocking piece had broken off the “o” tile. The bit that had broken off was not within the outer packaging and so I assume that this was broken prior to the packaging being sealed at production. So disappointed but due to lockdown, I cannot return this. For the price, I am not happy.

My autistic 5 year old that is obsessed with the alphabet had asked for a lower case letter mat. Turns out they are nearly impossible to find. Especially in D’Nealian style (which he had to have)!
Early Learning Centre to the rescue! They shipped to us in the U.S. within a week or so. Needless to say my son was pumped. Hasn’t stopped playing with them.
Great product, great company. Definitely recommend.
