Lovely Doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really enjoys this doll, with her beautifully colored hair. It's perfect for her to bring in the tub or the pool. I really like that the doll's hair doesn't get nasty looking after getting wet. The only thing I would change about it is if her tail could be sealed off to keep more air inside to help her while body float, but just having her head peek out of the water does give her an authentic mermaid look. I am trying to teach my daughter to swim/float and thought it would appeal to her more if her doll floated on her back too.

Beautiful features, sturdy, no pieces to lose!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dreamtopia Mermaid doll was an instant hit with my five-year-old daughter. We packed her to go on vacation with us and Barbie had a lovely week at the beach with us. Pros: the colors are beautiful, the quality of the doll is as expected with all Barbies (very high). I personally love the two-toned hair. I also appreciate that all of her accessories are fixed (a VERY important feature if you are taking a doll on vacation - I do not have time to look for lost pieces or deal with the fallout/upset if something goes missing). The translucent tail is also quite beautiful and something my daughter was very excited about. Con: my only negative would be that the back of the doll is just one color. I think it would look nicer if the tail color on the front of the doll carried over to the back as well. Overall, this is a very popular toy with my daughter and seems like it will hold up to lots of interactive play.
