Rated 1 out of 5 Broken on day 1. Almost impossible to control.
My daughter had been after one of these for months having seen them on the tv. The TV shows an elegant fairy floating upward and hovering above a girls hand. After a long charge, the fairy is launched and apart from being quite loud is actually quite fast, and when it comes down its almost threatening with its approach because if you catch its wing (as my little 6 yr old did) it makes a dreadful noise as it crashes like an ill-fated helicopter. Still, I suppose she was happy watching me try to get it to work like it did on the tv but it always ended up crashing within a few moments then smashing out of control onto a wall and ultimately the floor. While charging on the first evening, the fairy got knocked off its charger and the feet part shattered. So not only does it have broken feet, its impossible to re-charge. Total waste of money and one very unhappy little girl. Please, advise little princess that this is made to look much better on tv than it actually is in reality. You dont want the tears we had on the special day. (Plus lots of not-included batteries needed to charge.)

Rated 4 out of 5 Magical!
We bought this for our daughters third birthday, despite being unsure of suitability for her age, after she saw the tv adverts. It was a little tricky to get started as the on switch on the fairy is so tiny, and we had to distract our daughter whilst it charged. However, once it started to fly our daughters face lit up with amazement and she thought it was just magical. Even her great grandad was amazed by it. It doesn't fly for long but it gets 10 out of 10 for durability as it is tricky to control and frequently crashes but is still in one piece. Overall my daughter is delighted by it and a few weeks on still asks to fly it.

Rated 5 out of 5 Much better than expected
Father Christmas bought this with something of a sense of doom as we'd read so many bad reviews, but it was top of the list so he had no choice. He was very pleasantly surprised; it works perfectly and the 5.5 year old recipient has no difficulty guiding it although she does need a bit of help with the very tiny switches.
We suspect that the battery drain will be frightening (it takes 6, yes 6 AA batteries) but with rechargeables that's manageable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lucy&Elizabeth Fragile, temperamental, and broke
We bought two, the deluxe one broke in 24hrs, and the basic ones still going - although not been 24hrs yet.
Girls liked it after they got over being scared of the blades at first.
Nice idea, poorly executed

Rated 1 out of 5 RUBBISH!
Very disappointing! We went through 3 of these dolls and every time it did exactly the same thing! It is uncontrollable, just fly's off, crashes and breaks! The slightest hit and it will no longer work, but with no control over it it's only ever going to crash!
Don't waste your money!
