Rated 3 out of 5 by WampaHunter Great but...
The set isn't hard to build, it isn't very large, and much like the Hobbit Barrel Escape it'll require a lot of extra building if you want the full Cantina, BUT it's pretty awesome and it's a great update that was much needed.
My largest issue is.... The Mini figures and the land speeder. Whats here is wonderful. and great, but this is the cantina, a place full of aliens and a great opportunity for wild new minifies we've never had.... But instead it feels like it should have been two or even three sets cut down to one. The Landspeeder isn't as cool as other past versions, with stickers (which seems to be the new norm) rather then special bricks, and the Dew Back and Sandtrooper is really awesome but feels like it should be its own set with maybe a scene outside the cantina.
The whole thing just doesn't make a lot of sense, they have the bar - but no bartender, the band - but no stage, the hang out where some of the more odd aliens are drinking when we first see the cantina - but none of those aliens. We get Kenobi but not Ponda or the good Dr he fought with, this feels like a set that had a lot of compromises.
I would have rather seen a land speeder set update with Luke, Kenobi and the gang and the sand trooper with dewback and then a more complete cantina with some of the aliens this set is missing. All in all whats here is fine, if not a little high in price ( the finished set looks a lot smaller when built, I would have been happier if it were priced around $50 or even 60)
Hopefully there a cantina add on set like with Jabbas hangout, otherwise this is only half a set. The Bith are awesome, but with the other figures included it would've made more sense to have some of the aliens they interacted with, rather then just these guys. Ben cape is missing, and the Landspeeder redesign isn't nearly as nice as the old Walmart exclusive.
The Good: Redesigns of Luke (you can get him in the Sandcrawler as well), Kenobi (the face is a little to haggard looking to me, but it looks alright), the Bith look amazing, Han isn't new, he's in a couple other sets with this design, but he looks good and I think this is a redesign of Greedo which apart from the sleeves being completely screwed up and the color being way to bright is pretty good. The design of the updated Dewback is great, and hopefully we get an army builder with these new Sandtrooper designs because it's the best thing in the set when partnered with the dewback ( which is why they sell for $40 on ebay), the tower is nice as it gives you something to display with the redesigned LS outside the Cantina.
The Cantina itself isn't bad, its much smaller then I thought when completed, but if they ever put out extra minifies that are missing this will look great on a shelf. the ability to have the whole thing on a hinge is alright, makes it nice to display by itself.
Basically...... This set is just short of wonderful. It's fresh and a good redesign but missing all the things that made the cantina great. Hopefully we'll get aliens soon to fix this.
I would buy this again (and am doing so), and it's the best version of the set that's been released I think. These redesigns are pretty good and if you want the new Luke you have to go with either this or the $300 Sandcrawler. I'd give it 3.5/5 personally.

Great present. Required adult assistance but looks to promise many hours of role play fun as the star wars characters pop in for a break or a fight! Lego is never inexpensive and that is the only down side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by orangesaucepan Cantina is a marvellous set
I bought this for my son's birthday - he was turning 9.
He was absolutely thrilled. It's beautifully designed with loads of tiny details.
It folds up so it's good to store too.

To complete a Star Wars universe with Lego, you can't miss this set. Mos Eisley is where Luke stopped being a boy and became a fugitive. Dewback included and a renewed version of Luke's landspeeder. The Cantina music band is included and a Greedo minifigure.
