Product info

Skydive from great heights with the Hexbug Nano V2 Black Hole set.

With 58 pieces, build a massive multi-storey habitat for your Hexbug to explore. Watch it climb up tubes, scurry down the vertical twist and freefall through the funnel to a random exit.

The all new breed of Nano defies gravity and can flip itself over when it lands on its back. This fantastic set comes with two Nano V2s and can be combined with other habitats to create mega layouts.

It needs 2 x LR44 batteries (included) and is suitable for kids aged three and up.

Hexbug Nano V2 Black Hole is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from be prepared to keep dismantling it! flimsy and not as steady as would have liked. bugs do keep getting stuck gooing up tunnels and not always easily released - keep having to dismantle it! kids do however love playing with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nano V2 Black Hole This version 2 nano is brilliant. Watching the hexbug travel up and round the tubes is quite hypnotic. They sometimes get trapped, but a gentle jiggle works them free. The set only comes with two of the new hexbugs, but it would be fun to see more scurrying around so no prizes for guessing what we'll be putting in my son's stocking this year!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worse than Nano V1 Because of bugs falling to the hole, they often roll over their backs or sides and can't keep moving. And it's hard to return them to the right position. Connectors are very tight. In old Nano V1 bugs don't roll over. I't nice to play Nano V1.

Nano V2?

Hi, so will the original Nano bug not work with this track? And vice versa?
Asked by: Anonymous
I'm afraid the two versions are not compatible.

Can the new habitats be combined with the original habitats?

I realise the original bugs wont go vertically etc but do the habitats combine to create one big habitat?

The hexagonal and short curves use the same connectors as V1 to connect to the new style vertical track pieces. I see no reason why you couldn't construct a wider V1 habitat around the vertical V2 track. I shall certainly be doing that, for my son, many many times!
