Product info

Works with all versions of the Leapster Explorer and LeapPad (but not with Leapster or Leapster2 game systems)

Help Tinkerbell repair the blue moonstone by learning maths skills, with this Disney Fairies game for the Leapster Explorer.

Tinkerbell has been given the privilege of making the Sceptre for the Autumn Revelry, but she's broken the blue moonstone! Travel across Never Land with Tinkerbell to help her fix it, and use your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and alebra skills to help her solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and find lost things.

As you play, you can earn badges for your achievements, which can then be converted into LeapWorld tokens. You can use these tokens to customise your Disney Fairies game, or spend them in the online LeapWorld, where you can adopt a pet, play games and earn rewards.

With the Leapster Explorer, the game dynamically adjusts the difficulty to the player's skill level, so it's not too easy and not too hard.

LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game - Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a fun game for young girls, that teaches maths skills.

LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game - Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 26.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from challenging math, great graphics This game has some very challenging math. My 5 year old has kind of shelved this app for a bit, but I'm not worried. She's done the same with other math apps and comes back to them when as the material is more her level. The graphics and fairies draw her in, and the math is great. This is one she won't outgrow for some time, because the content is challenging. She is not frustrated with it - I think because she loves the fairy aspect of it. This is NOT for preschoolers - mind the age recommendation on this. I saw other reviewers upset it was too hard for their very young children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! My daughter really got a jump start on her math skills from this game. Her teachers were really impressed that she scored above average on her math tests, even in areas that most other students struggled in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Game! My dauther seems to like this game. She does not spend a lot of time with it. Which tells me its either too hard or too easy. I am going with the too hard. Sometimes if she has to figure things out she changes games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this game My daughter got this game for her 4th birthday. She loves Tinkerbell and I thought it would be a big hit. It was - but she wasn't ready for it at 4... At 4.5 years she picked it up again and finished the game in an evening. It is one of her favorites and she is now adding and subtracting double digits without help. Once she is fully comfortable with the concepts, I can further tailor the game to her new ability level. The text heavy game interface is a big negative. The maze like game play is actually not so difficult as others make it out. There is a big arrow that tells you where to go. The help feature is great as it explains the mathmatical concepts with narration and images, outside of game play. It's a wonderful game that most appropriate for children 5 and up with a preference for math...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This products is disappointing We purchase this product for our daughter for Christmas and she played this game once and doesn't want to play it again. I tried to encourage her to play, but after I played with it myself, I knew why she won't play this game anymore. The game doesn't narrate very well and it confusing because you don't know which way to go or what exactly you are looking for to get to the next level. In other words you are going in blind with this game.

I know it says age range from 5 years but would a 3 1/2 year old manage with it if supervised?

Asked by: Anonymous
They might like looking at the pictures but as a 3.5yr old hasn't done any school learning they need to have some understanding of letters & numbers for them to become engaged & interested in it. Hence age 5plus. Otherwise they will not be interested in it and will be waste of money!
