We purchased this toy for my daughter for her 2nd birthday, we decided to get her this to help her get over her fear of the hoover in order to turn it into a bit of a fun exercise where she could help mummy and daddy do the hoovering, we thought at first she might be a bit weary of it, but to our suprise, she loved it. She now never puts it down and loves to help us to do the hoovering, it certainly did the trick for us, and i must say an excellent toy, so realistic and even makes hoover noises ( which can be annoying at times as our little girl likes to turn it on and just isten to the noises) and has a slight suction to it. Overall excellent value for money and a great little toy, would definately reccomend!

Yes it makes a whiring noise while the bits fly round in the centre on the first setting and slightly faster louder noise on the second setting, my little girl loves to leave it on all the time and walk of just listening to the noise even when she isnt playing with it.
