Product info

Give your robotic fish freedom to swim with this Hexbug Aquabot Fish Bowl set.

Using electro-magnetic propulsion to move about underwater, this first water-born Hexbug can dive, turn around and swim up, just like a real fish.

Unlike a real fish, however, there's no mess and this little critter only comes to life in water - a sensor means it turns off out of water.

Great for children aged three and up, this Aquabot needs 2 x LR44 batteries, which are included.

One Aqua Bot fish is included (styles vary).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than a real fish!! After having real fish and unfortunately having them die on us, I decided to try this version for my daughter who is 10 and I must say it is just fantastic. No more cleaning or feeding or maintenance and my daughter loves it. Happy daughter.........happy mum!! 28 February 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubbish Battery life is rubbish didnt even last 10 minutes Glad I got it when it was on sale cause it's definitely not worth £13 01 January 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Only worked for 10 mins Discount was good. My daughter was over the moon when she opened this but very upset when after 10 minutes (2 cycles) the fish stopped working- had been warned the batteries were only for demo so had brought another pack- unfortunately the fish did not work once batteries replaced. Spent a long time queuing to purchase and not looking forward to doing it again when I return it. 25 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Son loves it Bought this for my son, although the bowl is a little small it doesn't matter because he plays with it in the bath. It takes me ages to get him out of the now. 14 November 2014

I brought 2 fish for my son yesterday but already they are in separate bowls as they keep sticking together when they pass one another, due to the magnets.they don't dive either, they swim just below the surface.I personally don't think they are very good.

My son has one and plays with it in the bath all the time, even in bubbles and it still seems to be working fine so far!

Details:
I recently bought a Hexbug Aquabot from The Entertainer in Telford and it worked fine. Until it stopped swimming after 5 mins. I took it out, let it dry then put it back in again and it didn't work.

I am sorry to hear that the Hexbug Aquabot that you purchased is not working. Have you tried new batteries in the bug? Alternatively, you can return this item to the store if it is within 28 days of purchase. However, the item will need to have original packaging intact and they will need to see a valid proof of purchase to accept anything back for a refund or exchange. The alternative is a gift card. I hope this helps!
